Gran Canaria is an island that offers a wonderful climate with
year-round warm temperatures and sunshine. These blessings make
Gran Canaria a popular holiday destination. Throughout the year
average temperatures range from 17ºC / 63°F to more than 25ºC / 77°F.
Temperatures in Gran Canaria can peak at more than 30ºC / 86°F during
July, August and September.
Gran Canaria has fresh feeling sea breezes throughout the year that
can make the climate feel somewhat spring-like.
Whilst the coastal
areas are sunny virtually year-round, the weather in the centre of the
island, around the mountains and at higher altitudes, is a lot cooler.

Gran Canaria's weather and climate is lovely and mild during the
winter months making the island a particularly appealing for a winter
sunshine holiday. The sandy beaches and warm water are extremely
enticing. Winter temperatures regularly exceed 20ºC / 68°F even during
November, December and January, the coolest months of the year.
Southern Gran Canaria generally enjoys the best weather usually being
sunnier and drier than the northern side of the island.

been one of the most popular of the Canary Islands as a holiday
