Corfu Weather in Summer - May, June, July, August

Summers begin in Corfu in May with the end of the rainy season. Temperatures are generally around 19-21C with 9 hours of sunshine every day. As the summer progresses temperatures rise to 24C in June reaching 26-27C in August with the sun shining for almost 13 hours a day. Summers are quite humid although the hot temperatures are cooled by the coastal breezes that blow through the island.

Corfu's resorts can be crowded during this time with holidaymakers relaxing sunbathing on the beach or engaging in active watersports. Days are usually dry during the summer months however evening showers are not uncommon.

Corfu Weather in Winter - November, December, January, February

Heavy rainfall can be expected from October until April helping to keep the island green, lush and fertile all year round. With its abundant green vegetation and rich flora including olive groves, oaks and maples, as well as wildflowers and tropical plants such as orchids the rain in Autumn and winter is a critical part of the climate. November and December are the wettest months however the temperatures during the winter do remain mild dropping only to an average of 10C with at least 3 hours of sun a day.
